How art keeps blooming in Taiwan during the Pandemic

Described as a parallel universe, Taiwan did not experience lockdowns and lives were able to go on relatively normal in 2020, where live concerts and exhibitions were thriving. A unique sense of nostalgia, excitement, impatience, and complete anxiety saturated our societies. People were eager to be inspired, to experiment, and to feel. Immersive installations were especially popular.

The success of the exhibition would not have been possible without all the visitors who used the provided hand sanitizer at the entrance, willingly tested for temperatures by our staff, and kept social distance throughout. During this difficult time, their support and cooperation continue to protect the well-being of arts and artists in Taiwan.

Accessibility was also very important for us. We made sure that the entire space, including all entry points and walkways, were safe and friendly to people of all ages. Especially young children who are often intimidated by traditional concert halls or museums. They see things we overlook, they hear things we neglect. The sparkles in their eyes are the reason we must make this world a better place.
